Way Out’s core business is the manufacture of luminous and non-luminous wayfinding, safety and IMO signage solutions for the Defence, Maritime, Transportation, and Construction industries (including stadia and cinemas), manufactured in Australia. Originally established in 1996, Way Out was set up to fill a void in the market for quality photo luminescent, or ‘glow in the dark’ safety products and has successful supplied every Defence maritime platform since the Collins Class Submarines. Way Out is a Quality Endorsed Company certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 and retain Lloyds Type Approval for our Low Location Lighting system. In 2017, Way Out became the only Australian organisation that is Lloyds Register and DNV -GL accredited service supplier for ‘inspections of low location lighting systems using photo luminescent materials and evacuation guidance systems.
Wormald Technology is the specialist dedicated Marine and Defence Division of Wormald Australia Pty Ltd nationally and specialises in marine fire and life safety systems. Wormald’s systems are installed on 90% of the CoA RAN surface fleet and on 100% of the Collins Class sub fleet. Wormald also supplies equipment and services to commercial marine, ports authorities, workboats, ferries, rescue services, cruise ships and boats, private vessels and marinas.
