Sport Management— Housed within the Dean R. Sanders `47 School of Business, this program leverages coursework from a variety of our top-notch degrees, like business management, athletic coaching and recreation management, exercise science, and marketing. eSports and Gaming Administration— Specifically focused on this rapidly growing and lucrative industry, you’ll learn how eGames are made, team/league management, eSports events planning, and marketing. Arts and Entertainment Management— Acquire the tools and experience necessary to launch an exciting career in sports entertainment—from event planning and venue management to promotions, marketing, and beyond. Marketing— Learn how to successfully secure sponsorships, manage brand partnerships, leverage digital media, and enhance fan experiences. Who? Kraft Sports + Entertainment (KSE) oversees the marketing, sales, content development, and event operations for the New England Patriots , the New England Revolution , Gillette Stadium , and Patriot Place . What? Dean College has an exclusive academic partnership with KSE, benefiting our students in many different majors such as business, sport management, communications, marketing, sports broadcasting, and exercise science.
When? The partnership was formalized in 2009. It’s been going strong for 15 years and counting!
Where? KSE is located only 8 miles from campus in Foxborough, MA.

Do you enjoy discussing sports day and night? Then a career in sports broadcasting might be for you. Dean’s Sports Broadcasting program will prepare you with specialized knowledge, including instruction on play-by-play, color commentary and analysis, interviewing, talk shows, and additional reportorial skills for television, radio, and podcasts. Every course you take will have a practical application and you will gain hands-on experience through at least one internship during your time at Dean. You will hone your skills in audio, video, and digital content production as you work with the College’s WGAO 88.3 FM radio station as well as Dean’s digital and TV resources. At Dean, you will learn from the best. Professional faculty includes John Rooke , who has 28 seasons as the stadium voice for the New England Patriots, two decades as the stadium voice for the New England Revolution, and more than 30 years of experience as the play-by-play voice for Division I college sports.

Do you feel compelled to coach a sports team or want to oversee a recreational facility? The Athletic Coaching and Recreation Management program at Dean will allow you to combine your passion for sports with the skills it takes to be a leader. Coaches today do much more than just run plays. The best coaches are mentors and educators who inspire players to reach both their personal and athletic goals. In the athletic coaching track, you’ll learn and apply skills to be a sought-after coach. These include management, strategic planning, ethics, and psychology. As a manager of a recreational facility, you must have expertise in leading an organization and be a capable multi-tasker. You’ll study business management and leadership practices, as well as experiential learning concepts to help enhance your skills in management, programming, and group dynamics. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get real-world experience through internships, like working with the community at the YMCA or designing practice sessions and workouts with the coaching staff of one of our 16 Division III athletic teams. You will also network with professionals in the field, such as the Providence Bruins , the New England Revolution , and the New England Patriots .

Are you passionate about the positive impact physical activity and healthy habits contribute to the body’s overall health and wellness? If so, our Exercise Science program will allow you to explore a variety of career possibilities. You’ll study the science of how the body responds to physical movement, incorporating courses in biomechanics, motor development, physiology, and psychology. You’ll also investigate the effects of nutrition, fitness, and exercise while gaining hands-on experience. Your Dean education will emphasize techniques for flexibility, strength, stability, balance, and motivation. And you’ll put theory into practice every step of the way by attending labs, developing your own testing projects and fitness-related programs, and completing an internship to give you the practical experience needed to succeed in the field. You may also choose to specialize in pre-athletic training or pre-physical therapy, so you are well prepared for graduate studies in those programs.

No matter what sector of the sports industry you’re interested in, Dean will help you learn the skills and knowledge you need to score both internships and full-time positions. Graduates of our sports- related programs have gone on to great careers across the country.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHOLARSHIPS You will automatically be
considered for a merit-based scholarship when you apply to Dean. No extra applications required. These awards are not based on financial need. Awards range from $10,000 to $30,000 with an average of $26,000 if you live on campus. Better yet, they are renewable for all four years. FINANCIAL AID You are not alone trying to figure out how to pay for college. Our dedicated financial aid specialists will work with you one-on-one to help you through the financial aid process. We will make sure you receive all possible forms of assistance to make your Dean education a reality. COST For many students, the cost to attend Dean is about the same as a public university.
