Go wild Gruffalo! Immersive Day

CRUMBLE It's not everyday that you get to meet a Gruffalo, but yesterday, that's exactly what happened in the EYFS classrooms! The children had a day full of fun activities inspired by the beloved children's story. The highlight of the day was making their very own Gruffalo bags. Armed with scissors and glue, the children got to work creating their own Gruffalo faces. They stuck on orange eyes and a poisonous wart to complete their creations! The children also got to make their very own 'Gruffalo crumble' with delicious chocolate and crunchy crispies. They had so much fun mixing it all together before adding the decorations. It wasn't just Gruffalo-related activities either. The children also had the chance to make their own foxes and owls which will look amazing on the topic display board. At the end of the day, the children went home with a Gruffalo-themed snack in their very own handmade bags. It's clear that the children had a wild Gruffalo day!

Thanks to Miss. Bevan for the story.

EXAMS Freya (3V) and Willow (2S) took part in their IDTA ballet exam on the penultimate Thursday before half term. They have been taking part in ballet classes together since they were 2 years old and although they were a little nervous, they both did very well.

Thanks to Freya’s mum for the story.
