BB9Y LENS May 2023 Vol 9: Issue No. Forty Two Excellence Through Partnership
THE
England International! Runners up
FUTURE STARS The Halas Hawks West U9 team had an incredible weekend at St George’s Park, home of England Football. Kurts Ilens and Samanta Martinova, both 4S players, made it to the International Cup final, an achievement that the whole team should be proud of! Unfortunately, the team lost the final on penalties after extra-time. However, the experience was wonderful for the children to make memories that will last a lifetime. Samanta, the team’s goalkeeper, was even awarded the Player of the Tournament out of the 700 children who participated! Her potential to become a future superstar in the women’s game is clear. The Halas Hawks West U9 team’s journey over the weekend is something that will stay with everyone forever. Their motto of ‘Dream big, never give up’ has been proven to be true! #halashawkswestu9 #dreambigkids #nevergiveup #proud #stgeorgespark #englandfootball #internationalcup #playerofthetournament #futurestar
Thanks to Kurt’s mum for the story.
Ed - Magnificent effort to Kurts and Samanta - a brilliant and inspiring Lens contribution.
