Count on it! Y5 maths workshop
PARENT POWER Last week, Year 5 invited their parents and carers into school to take part in a Maths workshop. We started off by playing some games (which got very competitive) before going head to head in a times table challenge! It’s safe to say that a lot of the children taught their parents a lesson or two! For the rest of the session, the children and parents worked together to tackle a range of reasoning and problem-solving questions. The sessions were a huge success and we would like to thank all of the parents for coming. “It was great that we could collaborate with our parents and help each other!” – Harrison 5P “It was a great opportunity for parents and children to work on their Maths skills!” - Michael 5P “The adults got to experience what the children get up to in school.” – Yuvraaj 5P “I had an amazing time competing against my friends.” – Kabir 5P

CRAFTY GOODNESS Last Friday was our third Bearwood craft market. It supports local business' and a great opportunity for the community to come together . This time, Hazel and Bertie of 3V donated their Friday afternoon to support Bearwood community hub by operating a lucky dip and guess the sweet jar. They raised £20, and did a fantastic job!
