AN INTRODUCTION TO FERENC SEBÖK’s ARTWORK

He is a Belgian citizen. The artist who has extensive curriculum has been showing for many years his artworks at different locations all over the world, including at the Museum of the Americas where he has an artwork in the permanent collection, and also at the Freemasons ’ Hall of London in the UK, and at the Masonic Museum of the GLNF in France. His works are comprised of a personal and unique creativity. He is still able to project a restless spirit that is not detained by time or adversity. Dr Sebök is a clear example of tireless artistic work. Each piece deserves the analysis and thoughtfulness of the observer. This book pretends to show the world – thanks to digital media – the works of an artist whose sincerity and devotion to the art and culture has no limits.

Born in Budapest in 1952 he leaves Hungary with his parents when it became under the Soviet Union during the Revolution in 1956.

He has double nationality ( Belgian and Hungarian). Graduated in speech therapy, he earned Masters Degrees in Labor Sciences and in Education, Psycho-Pedagogy (UCL) a post-master degree in Social Sciences (ULG). Mr. Sebök completed musical studies (piano and violin) honored with medal, at the Amelie Dengis Academy of Seraing. He trained in piano with Marcelle Mercenier at the Conservatoire Royal de Liege and harmony and musical script with Berthe Divito-Delvaux. Has earned a Masters Degree in Composition (CCU) and a Doctorate in Sacred Music (MCS). His music is published in France, Belgium and Italy. During the 70’s he studied painting at Beaux-Arts of Liege before continuing his career as a self-taught artist. Later on he obtained a Masters Degree in painting (CCU). At Saint-Seraphim of Sarov School, Liège, he trained in Iconography developing his own baroque style. He has been painting since 1971, having had its first exhibition in 1974 (Tivoli Hotel. Liège, Belgium). Ferenc Sebök has obtained international prizes in composition contests as in The Netherlands at Song Expo and Painting. He has been awarded with the Silver Medal ASL, 2010 in Paris and the “Grand Prix du Symbolisme ” (France) both for painting and the Silver Gilt Medal 2016 of the Academy Arts-Sciences-Letters (Paris) for composition and poetry. His paintings are in private collections, lodges and some museums such as the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia (USA). He has received the Golden Palms of the Order of the Crown in 2018, Kingdom of Belgium. He is a Certified Artist and an Honorary Member of the Museum of the Americas in Doral, Florida, USA. His biography has been included in the Marquis Who’s Who.
