Armstrong. It should be noted that The Story of Kappa Alpha Psi denotes Chicago (IL) Alumni Chapter’s charter date as April 6, 1919, but the charter specifies the date as April 17, 1919. This was the Fraternity’s first designation of an alumni chapter, as such, named for the city which it is located. Some have confused the originally named Gamma Chapter, which was comprised of graduates and profession- als in Indianapolis as the first alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. The origi- nal Gamma Chapter was established at the 3rd Grand Chapter Meeting, in Indianapolis, December 29, 1913.
