Dr. Austin A. Lane (Alpha Pi 1992) is the 12 th President of Texas Southern University (TSU) one of the largest HBCUs in the nation. He assumed leadership of Texas Southern on June 6, 2016. Dr. Lane has focused on enhancing the campus culture for students, faculty and staff, while bolstering student recruitment and maintaining strong enrollment and retention programs.
