Stop by the museum (don’t forget your free timed ticket) to explore the collection with a gallery guide and pick up a free “Art To-Go” kit to make your own Valentine’s Day cards at home. STUDENTWEEK: “ART IN THE AGE OF BLACK POWER” Thursday – Sunday, March 25 – 28, 1 – 5 p.m. The Georgia Museum of Art Student Associ- ation hosts a special Student Week program to celebrate the museum’s spring exhibitions, including “Emma Amos: Color Odyssey.” Drop by the museum to explore the galleries with a fun scavenger hunt and pick up a free “Art To-Go” kit with all the materials and instruc- tions needed to create your own Amos-in- spired mixed-media work of art at home. ONLINE WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

MORNINGMINDFULNESS Friday, January 22, February 5 and 19, March 5 and 19, 9:30 a.m. The Georgia Museum of Art invites you into the galleries via Zoom to participate in free guided mindfulness meditation sessions. Sessions include a variety of instructor-led meditation, movement and mindfulness tech- niques. No experience necessary. YOGA IN THE GALLERIES Thursdays January 21, February 18, March 18, 6 p.m. Join us via Zoom for a free livestreamed yoga class surrounded by works of art in the galleries. Led by instructors from Five Points Yoga, this program is free and open to both beginner and experienced yogis. DRAWING IN THE GALLERIES Sunday, February 28, 2 p.m. This in-person workshop provides drawing instruction, supplies and enough space to safely socially distance. Participants will al- ways be at least 6 feet apart, and all supplies are sanitized. Space is limited; to reserve a spot, email sagekincaid@uga.edu.

Emma Amos was an artist who challenged racism and sexism through her art and was active during the civil rights movement of the 1960s. Check out her bold, colorful prints and paintings then make your own statement paintings at home using a free Family Day To-Go kit. FAMILY DAY TO-GO: LOOK, PAINT, REPEAT Saturday, March 13 Artists often paint the same subject many times. For Pierre Daura the subject was a medieval village high above the sea on a cliff, and for Elaine de Kooning it was a chaotic sculpture in a park in Paris. Compare different versions of the same subject and then “look, paint and repeat” at home using a free Family Day To-Go kit.
