That same year, the NAHB invited Robert to Washington, D.C., where his pioneering work was showcased as a real-world example that helped shape the development of their national green building guidelines. "We didn’t just talk the talk. We walked it. And we had the data to prove it." Awards and Accolades, But Never the End Goal Yet for Robert, the recognition isn’t the point. "The awards are a blessing," he says softly, "but what matters most is helping others see what’s possible." Today, his work continues in Florida—on the barrier islands, in the wake of back-to-back named storms. He’s helping communities rebuild, not just structurally, but sustainably and resiliently.

"The home you build is the water you drink, the air you breathe. We wouldn’t drink untested water, so why would we accept untested air quality in our homes?"
