“They are going to bring so much more innovation and energy. And they’re just as dedicated as past generations.”
Her message to them is even more direct.
“To the young professionals, we need you in this industry. There is room for you to build a real career and it’s not just a job or a fallback. It’s actually a foundation industry. And this industry has never been more essential or full of opportunity than it is right now.” For a woman whose own career began by accident, perhaps one of the most meaningful parts of Ferris’ journey is that she is helping make sure the next generation can enter this industry deliberately, knowing there is a place for them before they ever walk through the door. “Change is not the enemy. When asked what Women Building the Future means to her, Ferris does not hesitate.
“The doors are open. Everyone is welcome. The opportunities are endless. And the future is bright.”
