AMA Convention Virtual Offerings: As promised, the AMA Convention Committee has convened planning sessions to determine the ideal virtual offerings for miners in lieu of cancelling our annual event. AMA has identified the following dates and sessions that we ask you to place on your calendar, and stay tuned for more information soon. Short Course: Placer Mine Permitting: Monday, November 2, 8-Noon, 1-5 p.m. Technical Sessions: Tuesday, November 3 - Thursday, November 5, 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m. Virtual Branch Meetings: The chairs of our eight branches across Alaska have brainstormed as to how to take advantage of one of the few silver linings that come with not being able to hold in-person meetings: at least, regardless of location, we’ll have a chance to connect with each other as one group.
