A short introduction to ROCIO VALDES’S ARTWORK

Ms. Valdés has an extensive artistic biography as she has been showing for many years her artworks at different locations in America, Asia and Europe obtaining many awards and recognition, including in the Museum of the Americas many events and special programs. Her work is comprised of magnificent original photographs obtaining the wonderful artworks you will see in this book. She has always been able to project a restless spirit that has never been detained by time or adversity. Ms. Valdés is a clear example of tireless artistic work. Each piece, like a poem, deserves the analysis and thoughtfulness of the observer. Maybe we may say that each of her photographs can tell a different story or a special state of mind. This book pretends to show the world the work of an artist whose sincerity and devotion to the arts and culture has no limits.

Rocío Valdés RVdB Born in Peru.

Rocio Valdes is a photographer whose professional development began with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, with a major in journalism obtained from the University of Lima (UL.). After dedicating many years taking care of her family, she obtained a s econd Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation, specialized in English., from the Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazon (UNIFE). Throughout her career she was always very passionate about photography and art. Her development in photography began as a hobby by taking photos in her free time. Later on, having discovered a natural talent and a fervent passion for photography , decided to improve her skills and techniques by taking numerous courses and workshops in different prestigious centers for Photography education. Currently she is a member of the Club de Fotografia Peru, (CFP) , one of the most prestigious Photography institutions in Peru. Her main vision and goal as a photographer, as well as the main inspiration for her work has always been related to the aesthetics, harmony and beauty that can be found in different situations and scenes. She tries to capture this and reflect it in an image , trying to put these characteristics in the composition of her artwork, inspiring in this way harmony in the world. Today, photography has become a way of expression that moves her most sensible fibers , deepest emotions and sensations. As an artist photographer has participated since 2014, in many international photography exhibitions in local and international art galleries in Lima, Peru; Miami, New York and Houston in USA; Umm al Quwain and Dubai in U.A.E.; Taza, Morocco; Paris, France; Rome, Venice, Torino, Matera and Forte dei Marmi in Italy. She participated in many art events organized by the Museum of the Americas. AWARDS: The Second Prize in Photography Category during “Italia in Arte ” exhibition, in 2020; Honorable Prize in Friouato Biennial in Taza, Morocco. Ms. Valdés lives and works in Lima, Peru.
