habits that belong to our fallen nature are very hard to get rid of. We battle with them, and try to beat them off, but again and again we are defeated. . . . But when the Spirit of the Lord fills and possesses us, then these habits disappear almost unconsciously, because death cannot stand before life. —A. J. Gordon. Brave Peter A cts . 1 :8; 2:1-33; J ohn 16:7-14 MEMORY VERSE: "Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy Spirit is good” (Psa. 143:10). APPROACH: On the playground sometimes there are older boys who “bully” the younger ones. Perhaps some of them may have bothered you. If you were alone you were afraid, weren’t

used for the last two lessons, a green circle which has the words “HOLY SPIRIT” printed on it in large letters and the word “Power” printed on it in small letters, and a small bottle of gaso line. (Mount the green circle on outing flannel.) LESSON: The dictionary is here again to tell us something more about the Trinity. We have learned that the white jacket on the dictionary speaks of God’s purity and holiness. The golden tri angle tells us of the Trinity and reminds us of the wonderful oneness of the Fa ther, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The

like a big brother to His followers. He protected them, and comforted them, and took care of them in all their troubles. When He went away to heav en, He promised them He would not leave them alone. He said He would send them another Comforter. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit. We can’t see the Holy Spirit, but we know that He is present by the things that happen. You can’t see the wind, either, but when the trees bow down, you know that the wind is passing over. When the Holy Spirit moves upon a life, that life is changed, too. Peter, who was so cowardly that he even denied Jesus, when they were taking Him away to the cross, was so bold, after the Holy Spirit came into his heart, that he preached a sermon that brought three thousand souls to Christ. Imagine that! Do you remember that we had a lesson about the heavenly Father’s caring for us? Then we had a lesson about Jesus the Friend of sinners, the One who saved Zaccheus. Now today we are studying about the Holy Spirit, They are all God. God is one God, but three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is equal in im portance and we should honor them all. If you will take Christ to be your Saviour, you will then have God for your Father, and the Holy Spirit for your Helper.
