What Does AMA Mean to You?

never worked for an industry where there is such a bond, even competing companies. It is inspiring to be part of AMA and this industry.

Association is the glue that keeps the industry alive and well. The dedicated efforts of the staff, as well as the vocational and industry partners make the

voice, and not only educates the public, but has a very strong influence politically. I want to be involved to help advocate and educate the population on the

organization what it is. Without them we would not have an industry that is key to Alaska and the country’s economic future going forward.

Nick Enos, Geoscientist AMA is the champion for responsible mineral development in

need and benefits of mining to the state. Mineral development is so important. Not only for myself and Industrial Pumps Of Alaska, but for Alaska’s economic growth and Independence. I think being the chairman gives myself and Industrial Pumps of Alaska more of a platform to help educate people about the mining industry. Taiga Mining Placer mining is a challenging, unpredictable endeavor, and we run a very lean management team for our operation. Being a member of AMA allows us to do that, because of the resources and support the association provides. The long-term investment in AMA has paid off for us immeasurably, as both an individual operation and the mining industry as a whole. We consider it a duty and privilege to support AMA, even through tough times, so they can continue to serve their mission and support operations like ours into the future. Alaska. It’s a voice representing such a diverse membership, from small family placer

miners, to world- class operations. I honestly can’t imagine our industry being successful in Alaska without AMA. AMA also means seeing many longtime friends and colleagues in November!

Traci Hartz AMA, to me, means support of this industry.

It means friends working together to achieve the best

outcome for all Alaskan miners and explorers. It means family because

what AMA and our members strive to

accomplish together affects so much more than just our job. It affects our family life. I have
