Tucker’s background includes his prior role as Assistant Director at Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics. His career also encompasses diverse experience at Sealed Air Corp, where he worked across areas like prepress, color management, inkjet and remote proofing, workflow automation, expand- ed gamut printing, and press characterizations. He further contributed as a technology specialist at Anderson & Vreeland, focusing on the installation of plate making equipment, RIP software, and inkjet proofing solu- tions. Before his return to Clemson University in 2019 to coordinate industry-focused projects, seminars, research initiatives, and training workshops, Tucker served as pro- duction manager at Frontier Label, now Sttark Labels, overseeing inventory procurement, label production, proj- ect management, and maintenance operations. FTA to Launch On-Site FIRST Training At Technical Conference In early July, Techkon USA was acquired by Datacolor. The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) will host its its Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tol- erances FIRST Level One Training as an introductory, on- site training program at the upcoming 2025 FTA Technical Conference. This opportunity is designed as the launch- pad for entry-level printers, enabling participants to earn professional credentials directly during the event. The training is structured to provide technical knowl- edge and fundamental skills, aiming to transform partici- pants into confident, industry-ready print experts. Gradu- ates will receive a credential that effectively showcases their commitment to excellence within the industry.
