A Note From Jason

I have been reading through 2 Chronicles lately. I know, maybe not the most popular book of the Bible, but I’ve loved parts of it. In chapter 20, the king (a man named Jehoshaphat) stands in front of the nation of Israel. They just found out that Israel is about to be attacked by the nations of Moab and Ammon. It doesn’t look good. It says that Jehoshaphat was “alarmed.” But what stood out to me most was what Jehoshaphat says to God at the end of a prayer: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” Now that’s a prayer! I’m often asked about our church: “Where are we going next?” Sometimes our leaders have clear direction—and honestly, sometimes we don’t—but I do know that our eyes are always on God. Our mission hasn’t changed. We are still driven, above all else, to reach more people for Christ. What we do today can reach thousands for him tomorrow, and I never want to take that impact for granted. There’s nothing more valuable than the human soul, so we will always be the church that goes after one more—with open hands, following God’s lead.

This past year was incredible. God moved in our church in a way that could only be described as supernatural. We can’t take any of the credit or glory for that. But if we’ve done anything right over the last year, it’s this: Our eyes have stayed on God. Is that a prayer you could pray in your own life? You have a decision or situation, and you don’t know what to do. Set your eyes on God. Tell him, “I have no idea where you’re leading me or why this is happening, but here’s what I’ll do, Lord: I will keep my eyes on you.” What makes Eagle Brook special? There are lots of things, but one of them is people like you who have their eyes fixed on the Lord. I’m so grateful to be part of a church like that. Thanks for being a prayerful and impactful part of who we are and where God is leading us.

We are grateful to see the generosity of our attenders in action. *$870,000 was given by the Eagle Brook Foundation, which is a legacy giving opportunity.

It’s been another record-setting year! I’m in awe every time I get to say that. Thousands of adults, students, and kids decided to follow Jesus, and countless others have taken steps to grow in their faith. We opened two more locations and saw God move in incredible ways in those communities. I say this a lot, but I can’t believe we get to be a small part of what he’s doing. To him be the glory! It takes each and every one of us to make this happen. Thousands of families continue to sacrificially give of both their time and treasure, allowing our church not only to operate—but to thrive. I’m excited to share that we saw nearly $54 million given to our General Fund. This was 100% of our projected income. In addition, we have seen over $11.6 million given to our Expansion Fund to help us continue to grow and reach new people for Christ. God wants to be in a relationship with every single person on the planet, and until that happens, our mission needs to continue to be red hot. I’m so thankful for each person and family who gives to this incredible mission. We’re just getting started!
