Cordilleran Tectonics workshop set for Anchorage

The 2020 Cordilleran Tectonics Workshop will be held Feb. 21-23 in Anchorage. The sorkshop provides a casual technical forum to present and discuss new ideas and research on any and all aspects related to the assembly and geological evolution of the North American Cordillera. Students are strongly encouraged to attend and present, as are university, government or industry researchers and practitioners. There will be an Icebreaker reception Friday evening, Feb. 21 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at 49th State Brewing Company (717 West 3rd Ave.) in downtown Anchorage. The meeting will take place Feb. 22-23 in At- wood Center Rasmuson Hall (4455 University Drive) on the Alaska Pacific University in mid- town.
