This elective aligns with VCE Art Making and Exhibiting and is recommended for students who are interested in fields such as painting, sculpting, art teaching, visual arts and crafts professionals.
Students in this elective will develop a range of fine art techniques for 2D art forms, including drawing, painting, printmaking and also 3D art forms such as sculpture and ceramics. Exploratory and developmental work will be undertaken prior to the commencement of art works.

Digital Art and Design This elective aligns with VCE Visual Communication Design and VCE Art Making and Exhibiting and is recommended for students who are interested in creative fields such as animation advertising, illustration interior design, marketing, graphic design and signwriting. Students will use a combination of freehand drawing techniques and digital software to develop ideas in design fields such as communication design, product design and industrial design. Students produce a visual journal documenting the design process for each unit of work. Students will have the opportunity to learn:
