KB Biola Broadcaster - 1971-11

A. The answer to the first part of the question is, "Yes." On the last part there is a great deal of divi sion among godly Bible students. The Tribulation is known as Dan iel's 70th week. It comes between the Rapture and the Millennium, then Christ appears the second time visibly on the earth. The proof of these people being saved is found in Revelation 7:1-15. In II Thessalonians 2:1-10 we read of that great masterpiece of decep tion known as the man of sin or the son of perdition. He seeks to lead people astray. We read of God's judgment in that He will send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie. There are the multitudes who will follow the devil rather than God's truth. Many believe that those living at the time of the Rapture and who have not received Christ will have no further opportunity for salvation. We should realize the tremendous urgency of the hour. The Saviour could come at any time. Q. Ocotillo, Calif. "Does one re ceive the Holy Spirit when he is born again (John 3:3) or after wards (Acts 2:38)?" A. We believe the Holy Spirit is given the moment one is born again. This is known as the bap tism of the Spirit. It is this wonder ful act which causes the transform ation making us a "new creation" in Christ Jesus. There are many in fillings but there is only one "gift." Someone has well said, "The more we yield, the more He fills!" This is what is known as sanctification. It is never a matter of getting more of the Holy Spirit but rather letting the Holy Spirit have more of us. Q. "In II Peter 2:20 and Hebrews 10:25 and 27, it beautifully shows

activity by way of judgment. Thank God, Christ is the "bright and morning star" and He's coming for us who believe in Him (Revelation 2 2 :1 6 ). Q. Bridgewater, Mass. "What would be the best literature to send to an unsaved person?" A. That is quite difficult to answer since there is so much available. A contact with your local Christian book store would be helpful. Check carefully on the publishers. You cannot go wrong in giving the Bible or certain portions such as the Gospel of John. Dr. T. C. Hor ton, one of the founders of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, pro duced a special "red letter" edi tion of this wonderful book and it is still being widely used today. Another old standard recently re published is "The Reason Why." Over ten million copies have been distributed. While it is a small pub lication anyone will see the tre mendous importance of either ac cepting or rejecting the Saviour. Campus Crusade for Christ has pro duced an excellent tract known as "The Four Spiritual Laws." It is used very effectively in dealing with young people on college and uni versity campuses. We almost hesi tate to suggest any material since there is so much available, espe cially in these more recent days. If you need further help, we would welcome your contacting the Biola Book Room. They would be more than glad to assist. Q. Phoenix, Ariz. "Will anyone be saved during the Tribulation? Are there those who will be given a second chance for salvation dur ing this time if they have heard the Cospel before?" Page 26
