Dr. Daniel Rose was head of the Jewish Department sponsored jointly by Church of the Open Door and the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, from 1937 until his death in September, 1971. He served faithfully on the Biola Board of Trustees from 1937 until 1971. Dr. Rose gave most of the money for the building of Rose Memorial Library on campus in memory of his wife, Selina, who died in 1934; and his second wife, Clara, who died in 1958.
