Harrell's Granular Fertilizer Guide

POLYON VS. SLOW-RELEASE FERTILIZER

POLYON controlled-release fertilizer and slow-release fertilizers (SRFs) both provide nutrients over time but differ in their release mechanisms and precision. POLYON uses a proprietary polymer coating applied through a very specialized and tightly controlled manufacturing process to regulate nutrient release, allowing for predictable and consistent nutrient release tailored to specific environmental conditions and timeframes. In contrast, SRFs often rely on biological decomposition of organic or synthetically derived materials with longevity of nutrient release dependent on soil microbial activity or soil moisture. This difference makes POLYON more consistent and predictable than alternative SRFs.

POLYON is manufactured to include the following properties:

+ Each granule is coated with a homogenous layer of a proprietary polymer.

+ The proprietary POLYON polymer provides consistency, predictability, and control.

+ POLYON is highly resistant to damage, retaining its controlled-release characteristics after blending, shipment, and application.
