IMPROVED TAILGATE DESIGNS
MAC Trailer has made some significant improvements to safety and convenience! The innovative new ground control is now available on aluminum half rounds, MVP, and sheet and post dump trailers. This first-class engineered assembly allows the driver to remain safely on the ground while releasing the pin and opening the door of all side swing tailgates. Additionally, the tailgate and coal door hardware are standard with greaseless bearing blocks and stainless steel handles for reduced maintenance.

overslung gate assemblies now are fitted with a bronze bearing and a stainless steel pin to prevent corrosion and seizing of the assembly over time. This also includes a Nylatron seal to keep debris from entering the opening of the gate latch. hook and latch
REDUCEDMAINTENANCE AT EVERY TURN MAC Trailer knows the need for uptime and is rolling towards reducing the need for maintenance wherever possible. The high-tensile galvanized steel subframe now has bolted on spring and equalizer hangers. Also they have switched to a Nylatron bushing in the hardware bar bearing blocks and galvanized hardware bar to ensure ease of maintenance and simplify the serviceability of the trailer.
Also, now standard on all spring suspensions is the single bolt equalizer with a mechanical lock nut and pressed in bushing. This is an improved design over the past tapered bushing and double bolt design.
