Sullivan and Brown of JLL oversee project mgmt. JLL completes 32,000 s/f Lexus training facility in Parsippany

ARSIPPANY, NJ — JLL has recently com- pleted managing the construction of the Lexus Eastern Area Office and Training Facility at 300 We- bro Rd. in Parsippany for ToyotaMotor Sales U.S.A. Inc. The team obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interi- ors Platinum certification for the 32,000 s/f office and ware- house facility, which will serve as a training center for Lexus dealerships throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. This is the first LEED Platinum project for the Lexus area training center program. The JLL team overseeing the project management as- signment was led by Jerry Sullivan , managing director, and Eric Brown , project co- ordinator. LEED certification coordination was led by Dana Schneider , senior vice presi- dent, and Jasmine Davis , project manager. “Lexus, with its design team of Ware Malcomb , had the vision to transform this aging warehouse site into a highly functional and technologi- cally advanced sales office and training facility,” said Sul- livan. “Working with such support vendors as Snap-On, KEA , Langan and Hollister Construction , along with the push for excellence and performance by the client, the building was converted into a highly efficient and multi- functional facility for the firm’s area managers and trainers.” The Lexus Eastern Area Office and Training Facility is comprised of approximately 20,000 s/f of administrative and presentation space, and 10,000 s/f of high-end train- ing space, with 16 high-tech training bays. The facility was designed so that trainers can place cars right into the training rooms to demonstrate the latest Lexus diagnostic and service equipment and techniques. The project team incorpo- rated sustainable construction practices into the comple- tion of the project, including: daylight sensors in office and warehouse space; zoning con- trols, for more than 75% of the space; efficient heating, ventilation and air condi- tioning units that meet the high-performance efficiency requirements; 40% reduction in water usage; 20% reduction in energy usage. n
