Herbster Mullen 410 has power in the blood. One of the master plans of the program, we stacked a Maverick, on a Doc Ryan, on a Harvestor, on a full sister to Resource. Mullen, out of a first calf heifer, had an actual birth weight of 72-pounds and has a BW EPD of +1.2. This should make him a heifer-friendly option. While not shying away from growth with his moderate birth weight, he also achieved the highest weaning weight ratio of the 2024 spring bulls with a ratio of 115. “410’s weaning weight EPD of +81 puts him in the top 15% of Non-Parent sires. Adding more great attributes, he has a +1.21 Marb EPD in the top 15% and a $W EPD that follows suit. Lot 22 is extremely well-rounded in his calving ease, growth, and pedigree.
By the numbers, Lot 23 is a heifer-friendly option with added marbling. His mother, Herbster Eileen 9106 is a beautiful uddered cow who mimics the look of his granddam, Cherry of Conanga 2475. “2475” was our pick of the whole heifer calf crop at Connealy Angus when they donated the National Junior Angus Association Foundation Heifer. She has been a cornerstone donor for us and has 6WW@109. Still in the herd at 13 years of age, her last calf ratioed 121 at weaning.

This 78-pound actual birth weight calf is a performance powerhouse out of a first-calf Doc Ryan heifer. This growth oriented son of Maverick excelled in the weaning weight race to ratio 108 and has an impressive +90 for WW EPD that puts him in the top 5% of Non-Parent sires for that trait. In his maternal line, his granddam and great granddam were both the highest ratioing heifers in their calf crop. In addition, he ranks in the top 4% for Angle and $F; the top 5% for $B; and in the top 10% for YW and CW.
