After seeing the Renovation sire group at Schaff Angus Valley in 2023, we thought using the bull would be a great fit for our program. The Renovation calves were amazing for their overall width and extreme muscle of the progeny, as well as the extra dose of maternal excellence you get through the Madame Pride cow family. The Lot 40 bull, Herbster Palindrome 4114 is a direct son of Renovation, out of a President dam, making him a double-bred “4136.” His dam, SAV Blackcap May 8165 is a perfect-uddered, model Angus female with incredible femininity and ideal structure. She has 3WW@103. We have appreciated “4114” since birth for his thickness, length of side, depth, and structural correctness. A moderate-framed option, he’s been a favorite in this calf crop for many on the Herbster Angus Farms crew for his overall eye appeal and ease of fleshing.
Herbster Kearney 4130 is a high-gaining son of the popular phenotype sire, 24 Karat. His mother, Colburn Saras Dream 6230, was a Class Winner at the 2017 National Junior Angus Show and the Reserve Grand Champion Angus Female at the 2017 Nebraska State Fair. Don’t overlook the fact he ratioed 105 in a tough contemporary group. This bull has pounds!
