Year 1 Had Some Visitors Year 1 have had a very busy week. On Tuesday, they had some special visitors - Clemmie ’ s guinea pigs! Over this half term, Year 1 have been looking at what qualities in animals make them a good pet. They have created their ideal pet and designed homes for a range of pets. Year 1 were fantastic with them and made sure they listened carefully to Clemmie when she told them how to hold them safely. They fed them lots of vegetables such as carrots, broccoli and sweetcorn.

Year 1 Reuse and Recycle

On Wednesday, Year 1 came back in after break to find the classroom covered in rubbish! They found a letter from Pete, the main character from the book ‘ Tidy ’ by Emily Gravett, who explained that he had collected the rubbish from the forest where he lives. Unfortunately, the forest had become very UNTIDY! They then learnt all about recycling and sorted the rubbish into what can be recycled or reused.
