PROMOTING A SAFER WORKPLACE THROUGH EDUCATION
OPERATIONS
Greetings: On behalf of Mayor Andre Dickens and the 63,000 employees of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, I am honored to welcome you to the 2025 Safety, Security, and Risk Management Expo. At the world’s busiest and most efficient airport, safety is at the core of everything we do. Your daily actions play a crucial role in preventing injuries, minimizing risks, and safeguarding the well-being of both our team members and travelers. Thanks to your
dedication, we continue to achieve success in safety, security, and risk management—and that success clearly reflects a culture where “Safety Always” isn’t just a phrase, but a core value. This year, we are especially proud to highlight mental fitness as a keynote theme. Just as we emphasize physical safety and operational excellence, mental well-being is equally vital for a resilient, effective workforce. When we prioritize mental fitness, we empower ourselves and our teams to perform at their best, both professionally and personally. We also recognize the extraordinary individuals who advance our safety culture. These accolades represent initiative, excellence, and a true commitment to going above and beyond in service to safety. Besides celebrating the best of us, today will also be about personal growth. We encourage you to take part in the array of educational workshops available. These sessions are designed to equip you with the latest knowledge and best practices in our constantly changing industry. Thank you again for all you do to make Hartsfield-Jackson not only the busiest, but also one of the safest and most resilient airports in the world. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing dedication.
Respectfully,
Ricky Smith General Manager
