Vojvodina occupies an extensive plain traversed by three navigable rivers: the Danube, Tisza and Sava, so it’s no surprise that bathing areas and beaches become sought-after destinations offering refuge from the sweltering asphalt
TAKE A PANNONIAN ADVENTURE Čarda and salaš inns, serenity and tambura players Discover the fertile Vojvodina this summer, its rivers and streams, fish stews and strudels, but also its rich farmsteads, where comfort is cherished, differences melt away and different cultures merge into one – the one that knows how to enjoy life V ojvodina is renowned for its multicultural- ism, reflected in the interweaving of vari- ous cultures, traditions, customs and cui- sines over many centuries – ensuring you’ll never feel hungry, dissatisfied or unwant- ed there. It is also well known that you’ll have the best time at a čarda or a salaš. So, if you haven’t already, be sure to put that on your summer itinerary... Čarda riverside inns conjure images of bygone times. The word is derived from Persian and refers to four pillars, with čarda inns having been located be- side roads and rivers since medieval times, providing respite and refreshment to travellers. Apart from fish specialities, čarda offer a large selection of local spe- cialities, including various meats, pies and gibanica cheese pie, as well as sweets like poppyseed strudel.
Ovde ćete najlakše osetiti šta znači jednostavan, zdrav ži- vot i mir u duši i glavi.
