IPPE End-Point-Assessment – Level 5 v1.1

Assessment timeline

We look to move every apprentice through the assessment process as swiftly as possible.

The gateway period is restricted to a six month timeframe and all assessments must be completed within this time. The assessments can be delivered in any order and the result of a previous assessment does not need to be known before the next is taken.

The apprentice can expect to receive their overall grade within 30 days of their final assessment.

Failed EPA assessment methods must be re-sat or re-taken within a ten month period from when EPA was approved, otherwise the entire EPA will need to be re-sat. This is at the discretion of the employer.

Re-sits and re-takes are not available to move from a pass to a higher grade.

Where any assessment method has to be re-sat or re-taken, the apprentice will be awarded a maximum EPA grade of pass, unless the EPAO determines there are exceptional circumstances requiring a re-sit or re-take.
