Angela Simdorn is the HR Director at Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island, bringing nearly 30 years of executive Human Resources experience to her role. A dual- certified HR professional, Angela is committed to both her career and community. She grew up in central Nebraska, attended Centura High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with majors in Human Resources Management and Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Angela has been an active member of the Grand Island community for many years, serving on multiple nonprofit boards. She is currently Vice-Chair and a board member for Heartland United Way, as well as a director for State Skills USA, College Park, and the Centura Educational Foundation. She has also served on the Red Cross and Leadership Unlimited boards, participates in the Hall County Manufacturing Day planning committee, and is a volunteer pianist at her church.

Angela was nominated for recognition due to her exceptional ability to connect local businesses with educational institutions, helping better prepare young people for the workforce. Known as a strong mentor, she brings valuable experience from her board work and is respected for her ability to manage and engage fellow members effectively. Angela and her husband, Jason, have been married for 28 years and live in rural Howard County. They have two children: Samantha, an animal pharmaceutical/supplies sales territory manager in Lincoln, and Tanner, a Junior at Doane University, majoring in exercise science and playing football.
Beth Frerichs is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Chief Industries, where she leads the company’s marketing strategies, corporate communications, branding, and customer loyalty programs. With a strong foundation in academic and professional achievements, Beth has established herself as a recognized leader in her field. Beth graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, then pursued a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Development from Capella University, graduating in 2010. This education deepened her understanding of organizational dynamics and leadership, which she applied throughout her career. In 2015, Beth moved with her family to Grand Island, Nebraska, where she joined Chief Construction & Development to lead their marketing initiatives. Her work in this role quickly earned her the respect of her colleagues and positioned her as a valuable team member. Beth’s professional success is complemented by her community involvement. In 2016, she was named one of Grand Island’s “Top 35 Under 35” by the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and graduated from Leadership Tomorrow class 32. She is an active member of the American Marketing Association, a Key Communicator for Grand Island Public Schools, and serves on the boards of Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska and the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, Chief Industries promoted Beth to Director of Marketing and Communications, where she now oversees all aspects of marketing, corporate communications, and branding, including the company’s customer loyalty programs. Beth is known for her strategic vision, integrity, and dedication to both her profession and her community. Her leadership fosters strong relationships and drives positive change within her organization and beyond.
Janine Williams is the HR Manager at Hornady Manufacturing, where she applies her expertise in Human Resources to foster a positive and productive workplace. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Family Sciences from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Janine is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and Central Nebraska HR, continuing to build on her professional knowledge and network. Outside of work, Janine is deeply committed to her community. She currently serves on the Grand Island Senior High Booster Club Board and as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church. She has also served on the Leadership Unlimited Board of Directors and the Grand Island Senior High Touchdown Club. Janine’s community involvement extends beyond leadership roles; she and her family volunteer for organizations such as the Salvation Army, Project Hunger, and the Humane Society.

Janine’s nomination highlighted her selfless nature and unwavering commitment to others. She is known for giving her time without expecting recognition, always offering kindness, support, and care to her family, faith, job, and community. Janine encourages those around her to do their best and is knowledgeable about resources available to those in need. Her children, Owen, Bo, and Brooklyn, often join in these efforts, helping neighbors with snow removal, assisting elderly individuals with moving, volunteering at food banks, and representing their school at local meetings. Janine and her husband, Jeff, have lived in Grand Island for 21 years. As a family, they enjoy spending time together and giving back to the community. In her free time, Janine loves cheering on her children in their activities and traveling.
