ADVOCACY Your ADVOCATE for Business Success.

The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County is committed to advancing a strong business climate by advocating for the priorities of our members. We identify key issues and represent the business community at the local, state, and federal levels. Here are the core ways we advocate on your behalf:

The Rogue Valley Foundation serves as The Chamber’s 501(c)(3) partner, supporting community and educational initiatives and acting as a fiscal sponsor for projects that strengthen Southern Oregon’s economic and social vitality. THE ROGUE VALLEY FOUNDATION Our Chamber Day at the Capitol takes 40–50 members to Salem each full legislative session to present Southern Oregon’s priorities directly to state leaders.

Our independent Political Action Committee, governed by its own Board of Trustees and funded separately from The Chamber, was established by members to strengthen support for candidates and initiatives that promote a healthy business climate. CHAMBER POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (PAC)

The Chamber offers year ‑ round lobbying (rare among Oregon chambers), tracking thousands of bills and advocating directly with policymakers on behalf of local businesses.

Comprising 30 members across diverse industries (including small businesses, large employers, manufacturing, retail, and tourism), this team provides real ‑ world insight that guides The Chamber’s advocacy agenda and ensures it reflects the needs and realities of our business community. CHAMBER LEGISLATIVE ACTION TEAM (LAT)

THE LEGISLATIVE HOTLINE

The Legislative Hotline provides bi ‑ weekly conversations with Southern Oregon legislators, giving members direct access to decision ‑ makers and ensuring business concerns are clearly communicated.

John Watt, our full-time lobbyist.
