MANICURIST/NAIL TECHNOLOGY CONTINUING EDUCATION & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
This 300-hour course is approved by the NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts and is completed in just one semester. This exciting, hands-on course will prepare the student to take the NC licensing exam and will cover manicuring, pedicuring, artificial nail enhancements, and all safety and disinfection procedures as required by State law. Coursework will include both written theory and practical hands-on training in a simulated salon environment. Required To Register NC Board of Cosmetology requires the following when registering for the program: • Photo ID with signature, ex. Driver’s License, State Issued Identification Card, Passport, or Military ID • Social Security Card – must be signed and not laminated Cost Semester 1

Additional Costs • Navy blue scrub uniforms (prices on these will vary) • Students are required by NC State Board laws to wear black, closed-toed shoes with black socks (prices on these items will vary). • After successful completion of the 300-hour course, graduates are eligible to take the NC State Board Licensing Exam (NC State license testing is done through Provexam.com): Written test cost - $84 Temporary Test - $5 Practical test cost - $84 BOOK AND SUPPLY KIT MAY BE PURCHASED IN THE BCC BOOKSTORE. BOOKS, SUPPLIES, AND PLASTIC HAND MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE FIRST CLASS SESSION. STUDENTS MUST BE IN COMPLETE UNIFORM ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS.
