Welcome to our Annual Production Sale! Hopefully everyone has had a great year! It is hard to believe it is sale time again. The cattle market has been strong again for another year, couple little things to make it shaky for a bit but recovered and went higher for quality replacement heif- ers. The cow calf operations are finally getting paid for their hard work and investments they made over the years! Angus genetics lead the way with demand for replacement quality females! Great time to be in the cattle business! We have a nice set of uniform two-year-old bulls in our offering this year, that would make a nice set of replacement heifers or steers! We are offering a stout group of bulls again this year. Lots of half brothers in different sire groups. We have a couple new sire groups again this year in the sale, along with some the same we have used over the years! We don’t usually use the stud bull that is popular for the year across the country and is being used heavy. We will A.I. to bulls that stand out to us and have what we are looking for, but we like to stay consistent and do what will make the type bulls we like to raise and offer to our customers. The bull’s vaccination program up to sale day is as follows. Calf shots at turnout time on grass had Bovi Shield Gold One Shot and Pink Eye SolidBac implant, weaning they had Bovi Shield Gold One Shot with 7 way and injectable wormer. Bulls were poured in the fall while taking DNA tissue samples. Prior to sale day, they had 1 st round of Foot Rot, Anthrax, and a Vira Shield 6 VL5 and poured. If you have any questions about the bulls, please contact us and we will gladly help you out! Bulls can be viewed on DVAuction as well. Bulls will not go through a sale ring, but several TVs will be set up for viewing. Bulls will be penned on site sale day. You can view bulls prior to sale day, just contact us and we will either have them locked in or a side by side will be available to go view them. Guarantee
All bulls selling for $4,000 or more will be covered 70% by Peckenpaugh Angus if they are injured during the first breeding season; and you keep the salvage value. Breeding season is defined as a 90-day period from the time the bull is first turned out. All bulls are 100% fertility guaranteed at turnout time. If the bull is injured during breeding season, please contact us as soon as possible. If a replacement bull is available of similar value, it will be given in exchange for the injured bull. If no replacement bull is available, credit will be given towards next year’s sale. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. This guarantee is not an insurance policy for mortality or bulls injured while running with other bulls prior to turn out time. Example of credit for injured bull sold for $6,500 $6,500 – (salvage value) x 70% = sale credit.
Peckenpaugh Angus will keep the bulls until March 20th and start delivering after that date. Please leave the best contact number to reach you for delivery. If you choose to take your bull home sale day or day after, you will receive $100 per bull.
