Not Here. Let me explain: A lot of pride and effort goes into building our cowherd. Our goal is to have very similar phenotype in each and every animal with a slightly different, but very similar, pedigree base. We believe you can go home with any of our bulls and get a consistent product. We don’t have something for everyone. We don’t have terminal, carcass- type cattle. We also don’t have the extreme high-performance cattle. They require too many profit-scalping inputs. They simply don’t work for us financially, in our environment, or in our customers’ environment. What we do have is genetics with a maternally focused base that have been selected and sorted for the profitable traits that commercial cattlemen need to generate income. We think the value of buying genetics from someone that has a designed breeding program is knowing what you are getting and expecting that every bull will have a maternal lineage that fits our standards for what we value in good Angus females. We also believe that your herd will look very similar to the seedstock provider you buy your bulls from. If you buy from someone that has a shotgun, mix-and-match approach to breeding cattle, it will show in your cow herd and in your calf crop with extreme inconsistency. Something For Everyone?
