Navan | The first couple weeks of Septem- ber have proven tough ones for the Cum- berland Grads. The Grads are sitting just above the Gloucester club in the Yzerman division of the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) after the first two weeks of junior A play in the CCHL. The Grads have one win to their credit after clipping the wings of the Hawkesbury Hawks at the end of their Sept. 14 road trip. Both teams failed to make a dent in each other’s defence during the first period of play. Cumberland’s Mark Golberg collected a pass from Philippe Paquette two minutes into the second period to break open the scoreboard in the Grads’ favour. The Hawks’ Antonio Roumeliotis, with help from Bran- don Bussey and Carl Faucher, tied up the score in the latter half of the period.
