: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. For safety reasons in case of fire, cans should be stored sepa- rately in closed containments. Use a water spray to cool fully closed containers. : Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if nec- essary.

Personal precautions, protec- tive equipment and emer- gency procedures
: Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Beware of vapours accumulating to form explosive concentra- tions. Vapours can accumulate in low areas. : Prevent product from entering drains. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities. : Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible ab- sorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, ver- miculite) and place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations (see section 13).

Technical measures
: Storage and handling operations should be in conformance with OSHA 1910.106; Flammable Liquids; and the locally ap- plicable fire code. Spray application operations should be in conformance with NFPA 33; Standard for Spray Application of Flammable or Combustible Materials, Latest Edition Handling areas should be in conformance with NFPA 497; Recommended Practice for the Classification of Flammable Liquids, Gasses, or Vapors and of Hazardous (Classified) Locations for Electrical Installations in Chemical Process Are- as, Latest Edition, and other applicable standards related to control of ignition sources. Fast closing lids actuated by a fusible link device have proven effective in managing risks associated with a pool fire in dip tanks, flow-coat holding vessels, and similar open vessels containing flammable coatings.
