Disposal advice Waste from residues
: The NORM (naturally-occurring radioactive material) content of this product may activate radiation detection sensors in place at some scrap metal processing and waste disposal sites, ports, and other transportation infrastructure facilities. Zircon in this product is exempt from NRC regulations for source material at 10 CFR 40.13(b) since it falls under the definition of unprocessed materials containing less than 0.05% uranium or thorium. Check local and state regulations regarding NORM to determine any additional requirements potentially applicable to the use, handling or disposal of this product. Do not dispose into sewers or waterways. Unused product and liquid container residues are ignitable (D001) hazardous waste. Radionuclide content may require testing or trigger disposal prohibitions at some facilities, and may trigger radia- tion safety devices commonly used at disposal sites. Notify proposed disposal facilities of the radionuclide content, alco- hol content and flash point of the product during waste profil- ing. Dried product residues are not typically ignitable. : Dispose of contents and containers to an approved waste disposal plant. Empty remaining contents. Dispose of as unused product. Do not re-use empty containers. Do not burn, or use a cutting torch on, the empty drum.
