Welcome to the 2026 edition of the Barker Cattle Company Production Sale. What a year to be in the cattle business! It is nice to see cow calf producers in the driver’s seat and able to benefit from these record high prices. As we all know, the cow herd is at historically low levels. Heifer retention has not yet begun, so, these prices should last for a couple of more years. Now is the time to invest in the best genetics to continue to advance the quality of your herd.
It is exciting to see the bulls and females making great strides in quality and genetic advancements over the years. This is without a doubt the strongest and deepest set of bulls and females ever offered by Barker Cattle Company. Once again, the bulls have all been RightChoice tested to aid in your selection decisions. The RightChoice logos uses DNA as well as EPD evaluations to evaluate the bulls for their individual traits and sorts them for their strengths in growth, maternal and calving ease. This adds an additional layer of confidence that the bull you are purchasing will meet your breeding expectations. As stated above, this is without a doubt the strongest set ever offered and with that you will see a slight change in the order of how the bulls are listed in this catalog. With larger sire groups that are more consistent in quality they are cataloged more by sire group than in the past. This will allow you as a buyer to see and compare sons out of a preferred sire more easily. So, with that said we have good bulls throughout this catalog from front to back. Hopefully you agree with me that there is quality on every page of this sale book.
