Educational Service Unit #13 Educational Service Unit #13 (ESU 14) provides a variety of high quality services and programming to 21 school districts and many other partners across 11 counties in Nebraska’s Panhandle. ESU 13 is committed to serving, supporting, and empowering the staff of the school districts and partners they proudly serve. The Main Office is located in Scottsbluff with satellite offices in Sidney and Chadron. ESU 13 employs 180 highly qualified professionals and support staff dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of member school districts and partners. Gering Public Schools Gering Public Schools is a comprehensive school system offering college-and-career-ready education to students in preschool through 12th grade. The district offers full and half- day preschool options and has three elementary schools, one junior high (6-8), and a newly renovated high school (grades 9-12). Due to its ideal size, Gering Public Schools offers a warm small school atmosphere and aligns that with big school opportunities. Gering High School provides students with choice of interest-based pathways to personalize their high school experience with a plethora of dual credit options available. Scottsbluff Public Schools Scottsbluff Public Schools emphasize clearly articulated and aligned curricula that carry high expectations for all students, in all schools, in all classrooms. Named the 2017 Outstanding High School for Career and Technical Education from the Nebraska Department of Education, Scottsbluff High School has partnered with Western Nebraska Community College and other regional partners to establish an unparalleled wall-to-wall Career Academy program housed in a new, state of the art facility. Rigorous secondary course offerings extend an outstanding early childhood and elementary school foundation. Western Nebraska Community College For more than 90 years, Western Nebraska Community College has been educating residents of Nebraska’s Panhandle. With campus locations in Alliance, Scottsbluff, and Sidney, WNCC offers educational, training and growth opportunities for students, partners and community members throughout its 12-1/2 county service area.
