MHIA Expands Service, Support With Customer-First Focus From product innovation to performance-driven service programs, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America (MHIA) Corrugating Machinery Division is advancing the way box makers work. Already well into another strong year, MHIA continues to build on the success of its flagship EVOL Flexo Fold- er Gluer with enhanced service and support options. With over 235 units sold in North America and more than 670 worldwide, the EVOL continues to raise the standard in corrugated packaging performance. “As our customers’ needs evolve, so do our solutions,” said Hiroyuki Kikumoto, President of MHIA CMD. “We’re always listening, improving, and innovating—and we take pride in the relationships that fuel that progress.” The EVOL Flexo Folder Gluer continues to lead the market with a winning combination of speed, precision, and reliability. Available in several models—including the high-capacity 100/400 DSL and 115/330 DSL—the EVOL delivers up to 24,000 boxes per hour (or 48,000 with the Dual Slotter) and offers two-minute job setups to keep up in fast-paced environments. The Mitsubishi Prefeeder (MPF) was built to comple- ment the EVOL, feeding corrugated sheets at 400 boxes per minute with consistent flow and minimal interruptions. Together, the EVOL and MPF form a dynamic duo—reduc- ing bottlenecks, improving uptime, and helping box mak- ers meet production goals with confidence. MHIA also continues to expand its equipment lineup with the MC-100 Flexo Folder Gluer, designed to run small- er lot jobs with ease and flexibility. With production speeds up to 300 boxes per minute (or 500 in double-feed mode), the MC-100 is ideal for operations looking to scale without sacrificing quality. “Our customers are under pressure to deliver—faster, better, and more efficiently than ever,” said Christine Lit- tle, Director of Sales at MHIA. “That’s why our focus isn’t just on making great equipment—it’s on building reliable solutions that support long-term success and adapt as our customers grow.” This spring, MHIA launched the EVOL Legacy Program to support machines that have been in operation for 15 years or more. The initiative offers 10 percent discounts on OEM parts, rebuilds, and service, along with a compli- mentary annual health check performed by MHIA techni- cians. The Legacy Program is a proactive response to the needs of aging machines and the customers who rely on them daily. By extending the life of these workhorses, MHIA helps ensure consistent output, fewer unplanned re- pairs, and smarter long-term planning. Following the successful launch of the AR Library for the EVOL 100 last year, MHIA has recently unveiled its full AR Library for the EVOL 115, now offering 120 interactive
procedures across maintenance, calibration, lubrication, and wear-part replacement. Among the newest features is the new laser calibration procedure for folding rails (FG Calibration), which ensures precise alignment. This method is now used by MHIA field service technicians and will also be available to customers through a new laser kit offering. The EVOL AR Library also includes 3D animated work instructions and a Remote Assist function, enabling re- al-time collaboration between operators and MHIA tech- nical experts. These tools represent the next generation of reference materials—designed to maximize uptime, simplify training, and make advanced maintenance more accessible. Integrated with Extended Maintenance Agreement Visits (MAVs), customers benefit from seamless access to both the EVOL AR and CBT programs. MHIA’s Production Improvement Program (PIP) was developed to help customers protect and enhance their
investment in the EVOL. As equipment ages and produc- tion demands increase, maintaining peak performance becomes critical. The PIP offers a proactive, structured ap- proach to machine care—delivered over a four-month pe- riod by MHIA specialists who work alongside plant teams to assess equipment condition, optimize maintenance practices, and eliminate inefficiencies that can lead to un- planned downtime. “PIP is about putting the power back in the hands of our customers,” says Little. “By combining expert insights with on-site coaching, we’re helping box makers build con- fidence in their operations and keep productivity high, day in and day out.” Each visit focuses on both the technical and operation- al sides of machine health—covering everything from wear part assessments to inventory management and operator coaching. The result is not just a more reliable machine, but a better-equipped team and a stronger line overall. At MHIA, we’re focused on what matters most to our customers: performance, reliability, and long-term value. Whether it’s a brand-new install or a 15-year-old machine, our goal is the same—provide the tools, service, and sup- port to help box makers keep moving forward.
