Consent for home improvements I f you’re considering alterations to your home, please ask your local manager about how to request our consent for making those. What happens next will depend on your lease or freehold transfer documents, as these do differ. For some alterations we may require you to enter into a licence agreement if the location would be at risk of liability for future repair/maintenance costs for the alteration. For example, maintenance responsibility and costs for a conservatory at one resident’s home, would be unfair for other residents to meet through the service charge or being charged to the reserve fund.
