a construction company with the expertise and capabilities to complete innovative proj- ects,” said Al Hunt , executive vice president of construc- tion at Armada Hoffler. “Legg Mason’s Global Headquarters, Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore and the Hyatt Place Balti- more / Inner Harbor Hotel are prime examples of how we are building upon our experience and reputation for high-qual- ity construction to expand to other areas and projects in the city.” The Hyatt Place Baltimore / Inner Harbor Hotel is a $24.4 million construction project lo- cated at the corner of Fleet St. and Central Ave. The 150,000 s/f project, which will create 240 new construction jobs, is expected to be completed in Fall 2014 and will feature ground-level retail space as well as internal parking. The 206-room cast-in-place con- crete structure hotel will have a masonry and glass façade with a glass and steel entry Porte-cochère. The hotel takes the place of a one-story ware- house that formerly occupied the site. “Our construction business is continuing to grow as we take on a diverse range of proj- ects in the Baltimore market,” said Lou Haddad , president & CEO of Armada Hoffler Properties. “Baltimore is a thriving city that is prime for growth and development, which is why we are also look- ing to expand our development efforts to other projects and areas in the city.” Armada Hoffler also serves as the lead developer and contractor for the mixed-use retail and apartment complex located at the Southwest cor- ner of St. Paul and 33rd St. in Charles Village. n
