By this time, it was noted that the grantees and rightsholders were more comfortable with the use of online platforms, even if a number of them still experienced challenges with their internet connectivity. And this can be seen in the diversity of the programs and activities offered such as an online game show, video documentaries about the grantees’ and rightsholders stories and experiences, and even intermission numbers featuring original songs written and performed by the grantees and rightsholders themselves. The engagement with the audience was easier and more relaxed, resulting in better quality of outputs.
The 2021 Voice L&L National Summit had two components 1) An exclusive workshop which was a conversation with grantees, RHG representatives, and invited stakeholders on sustaining the community of inclusion even when the Voice grant has ended, and 2) A Public Amplification livestreamed on Facebook that not just provided the opportunity for the grantees and RHGs to amplify their voices by sharing their stories of change, empowerment, and inclusion to the public, but also provided the public with opportunities to join the grantees in their advocacies.
“
Our source of empowerment lies in our capacity to see beyond our advocacy. Intersectionality became a major part of our Linking and Learning journey. Our nourishment and growth go beyond our personal advocacy.” - Timothy Salomon, BUKLURAN
