development services; to promote peace and reconciliation through dialogue of life with other faiths and culture; and to advance the cause and rights of the indigenous peoples, women, children and persons with disability.

‘Reclaiming Ancestral Lands, Sustaining Indigenous Culture’ is a 3-year project by the OND HESED Foundation that is implemented in two municipalities in Mindanao. The project supports the Taboli Manobo S’daff Claimants Organization (TAMASCO) in claiming their Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) from the government and demanding a private entity to move out of their ancestral lands. The project also employs community-based approaches to support the community in managing available resources (tangible and intangible) towards increased productivity, increased access to basic services, and strengthened cultural integrity. OND Hesed Foundation has been existing for seventeen years and has engaged in different community development work, social advocacy, social services, and institution building in South Central Mindanao. It has served and continues to serve multi-cultural people, especially in places where few organizations would dare to go.

Title of Project: Lakbayan/Kampo to Stop Contractualization of Workers

Lakbayan/Kampo Stop Contractualization of Workers is a response to the harassment being experienced by women workers of DBSN Farms Agriventures, Inc. It brings the campaign from Albuera, Leyte to Manila to put a stop to the abuse of the DBSN Management and for them to comply with labor standards and respect the rights of women workers. Through concerted efforts by Bantay Kita, Oriang Women’s Group, DBSN Workers’ Union - SUPER Federation, and partner civil organizations, this campaign is expanding the space for political participation of women workers as they dialogue with the responsible organizations. Apart from mobilization efforts towards their Lakbayan Camp to Manila, the project conducts a series of sharing sessions with students and other support groups, holding press conferences and forums to amplify the experiences and calls for justice of these women. It envisions the end of contractualization, provision of regular and decent jobs to women workers, improved working and living conditions of these workers and their families, and reduced incidents of abuse and exploitation of vulnerable women and workers. This project is creating a platform where the affected workers themselves can voice out their demands and be heard, engaging other sectors to act thus effecting necessary changes.
