Why is Commercial Drive the perfect place for you? Commercial Drive is by and large the best neighbourhood in Vancouver. Its rich history and non-conformist attitude give it an edge that you don’t often see in a city like Vancouver, whose reputation is more about outdoor living and beautiful beaches. Commercial Drive is approachable, colourful, and has its own microclimate of shops, galleries, theatres, restaurants, and parks, presenting almost as its own little city. The Drive is a melting pot of unique businesses run by incredibly hard-working people, who are very supportive of one another and preserving the Drive’s eclectic and vibrant culture and feel. We love being part of that! If Commercial Drive were a cocktail, what would it be? We think it would be a Boulevardier. It’s straightforward and honest. Simple in its presentation but complex in its composition.

Tell us what inspired The Flamingo Room. We wanted to create a tropical oasis, a place that felt like an escape, where one could feel whisked away to another time and place. On an R&D trip to Havana and Miami, we loved the vibe of several outdoor cocktail bars that we visited, combined with the quality of cocktails, and the energy of live entertainment. We wanted to provide a space with contagious energy, unique in our city, where the vibe envelopes you and you never want to leave. And so, The Flamingo Room was born, a Miami-inspired cocktail bar and live stage.

MAKE YOUR OWN BOULEVARDIER Fill a glass or shaker with ice. Pour in all the spirits. Stir for around 30 seconds, until chilled. And serve on the rocks or straight up, with a bright twist of orange or a juicy cherry.
