· the Payroll Standard Accreditation scheme which relates to the payroll calculations and · the Online Filing Recognition scheme for checking that valid online files can be produced and submitted to HMRC The Payroll Standard Accreditation scheme will cease completely from 6 April 2012 along with the list of accredited payroll software products and the HMRC Payroll Standard logo. This new PAYE Recognition Scheme will combine elements from both preceding schemes and allow HMRC to work with a broader range of software developers and payroll software products. HMRC DRAFT GUIDANCE ON LITIGATION AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

17 August 2011 HMRC has published draft Litigation and Settlement Strategy guidance and accompanying draft Alternative Dispute Resolution guidance for comment, and although will not directly impact payroll professionals it does provide information on how HMRC treats disputes. CLOSURE OF OLD URLS FOR THE LIVE DPS

21 September 2011 Ahead of this month’s Employer Bulletin, HMRC have asked us to remind you about the forthcoming closure of old URLs for the Live Data Provisioning Service (DPS). HMRC are still seeing a substantial number of calls to the old URLs so the September Employer Bulletin will therefore, include an article advising employers to check that their software will still be able to retrieve data from the DPS from October 2011.
