Omada for Cigna FAQ

Small group and health coach

What will group interaction be like? Participants will be matched with a group of other people who are experiencing the Omada journey together. The group mainly interacts through a simple conversation board. Participants can post new topics, like their thoughts, a question, or an update about themselves, or they can reply to another group member with a comment. Their health coach uses the conversation board, too. Will participants be in a peer group with other employees at their company? They might, but it is unlikely. Omada does not specifically attempt to group participants with colleagues—instead, groups are based on other variables that would be more beneficial to their success in the program, such as geography and risk factors. How do participants communicate with their health coach? Health coaches are available via the in-app group board and private messaging. The health coach is present to guide and support participants throughout the program. Omada asks participants to take the lead in setting the tone for their relationship with their coach, as every participant is looking for something slightly different from this relationship. How much can participants communicate with their health coach? There is no limit to participants’ interactions with their health coach. They are allowed to message with their health coach as many times as they like during their time in the Omada program.
