What type of scale is included? The welcome kit includes an Omada digital scale that’s cellularly connected to each participant’s Omada account. This means that their daily weigh-ins are automatically transmitted to their private profile, where their weight progress is charted and shared only with them and their health coach. The scale uses a cellular network for transmission. No Wi-Fi is needed, and no setup is required. When should participants start weighing in? Participants will weigh in regularly throughout the program, and will be asked to start as soon as the group kicks off. If an employee plus a spouse, partner or adult dependent both join the Omada program, should they share a scale? No. Each participant will receive their own scale, health coach and peer group. The scales are preprogrammed to transmit each participant’s weight data to their own health coach and program. Tip: If more than one person is enrolled in the Omada program in the same household, participants are recommended to place a sticker or tape with their names on the scale so there is no confusion. Do participants get to keep the tools after the Omada program ends? Yes, all the tools that are provided by Omada during the program are meant for participants to keep What are lessons like? As Omada is a lifestyle program and not a diet or quick fix, our weekly lessons focus on whole life changes. The engaging and interactive content covers topics like nutrition, stress management, time management, and problem-solving skills. Lessons typically take about 15 minutes per week. Participants also receive links to optional research and articles.
