NEW MOVIE, SAME SENTIMENTS A REIMAGINING OF A CLASSIC STORY There are so many movies out right now; it can be impossible to choose something that will suit the whole family. The new “The Lion King” is the perfect movie to enjoy as a family this summer, whether you’re at the theater or in your own living room! Some people in the office have been raving about it, so we thought we would share some of the great things we've heard! Some characters will surprise you, and the voice actors will leave an impression. Seth Rogen is a fantastic Pumbaa, who steals every scene he's in; his counterpart, Timon, is played by Billy Eichner. Well-known for his work in shows like “Parks and Recreation” and “Difficult People,” Eichner’s voice acting brings Timon to life, and his performance will undoubtedly be regarded as one of the better parts of the film. Like with the original movie, you'll be swept up in the brilliant music that drives the story from start to finish. Beyoncé and Donald Glover do a fantastic job of integrating fresh, new takes on the original

songs. For those of us who fell in love with the original film, the songs were unforgettable. A staff member of ours remembers singing classics like “The Circle of Life” in her choir in junior high and humming “Hakuna Matata” with her friends. "This film is a beautiful adaptation of the animated classic we all know and love." If your children are anything like ours, they will enjoy this movie as much as you enjoyed the original! Paired with new comedic bits, important lessons like “the circle of life” will still resonate with children of all ages. This reimagining of the 1994 classic still handles loss and grief amazingly well. It showcases Simba as he navigates the grieving process

and demonstrates how easy it is to blame yourself for some of life's unfortunate events. This adaptation also doesn't really stray away from the original story. The original 1994 script took inspiration from works like “Hamlet,” and the live-action remake preserves these references. The film’s CGI is also exquisite: The staff’s children loved the animation of the lions in the film! Our families couldn't get enough of watching Simba and Mufasa! This film is a beautiful adaptation of the animated classic we all know and love. So, next time you're in the clinic, let us know if you and your kids liked it! We always love swapping parenting stories.
